Australia

Our Australian Gallery contains images and videos of our BRM Carbon Solutions Pty Ltd company’s development of Carbon Projects for our REDD+ deforestation avoidance and reforestation through our use and propagation of  Moringa Oliferia Plantations.

Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea is a special country where BRM has a largre number of hectares of natural forest under our carbon solutions management. Our PNG Carbon Project management requires our compliance with UN REDD+ methodology.

Philippines

The Philippines is a relatively new player in the Global Carbon Abatement Industry. BRM senior management have for some years, been working with local government in Mindanao to identify carbon projects and have developed moringa plantations.

Moringa Plandtations

The Philippines is a very special country to BRM. Not only are we patiently and professionally working with the Government in Manila to create Carbon Projects commencing in the second largest Provence, Mindanao, but we commenced working with local councils, or Barangay of which there 42,045 in the Philippines and 12,339 across Mindanao. The Philippine Government have decreed into a Bill, their interest in assisting private companies such as BRM to develop export quality products from the development of MORINGA plantations. Their interest is to promote revenue for local villiages and constituants within each rural Barangay. The below images depict the development of our first trial Moringa Plantations on the Garden Island of Samal off the coast of Davao, the capital city of Mindanao. We are proud of contributing to their local community and creating employment for all ages, life changing events to which the Barangay leaders have a close eye upon.

Moringa Propagation

The first steps in developing a Moringa Plantation in any regional area, is to build a seedling propagation nursery. Moringa can be grown from SEED or CUTTINGS. Propagation of Moringa via seed is the best way and we also use cuttings. BRM assists local people who wish to participate to build a nursery structure made totally from locally cut timber, bamboo and of course, coconut trees, traditionally used for housing timbers.

First Moringa Trim Harvest

Moringa grows approximately 15 feet or 457.2 centimetres per annum. We “trim” the Moringa trees back to approximately 4 feet or 121.92 centimetres so they are all level and will begin to “bush out” to create more trim. Philippino workers cut trim the Moringa trees by hand and remove the smaller stems and leaves. The trunks are gathered and prepared and planted separately, meaning we create 10 or more Moringa trees from one tree within 12 months.

Local Moringa Product Manufacturing

We have trained the local community to produce a product, “from seed to plate”. Although Philippinos have been around Moringa as a potential food additive, they rarely use it unless they reside in rural areas where the Moringa grows readily or they have a tree in their home garden. We have taught them modern propagation techniques and how to tim the Moringa trees and when, to extract high quality leaf. Importantly, we have moved to the next steps of providing education and experience in how tro develop products such as Moringa Powder, Oil and Animal Fodder.
